For those of you that have seen the movie Zombieland, you may recall that it is about a student trying to reach his family in Ohio that partners with a tough guy trying to find the last Twinkie.  They are joined by two sisters that are trying to get to an amusement park.  Now a Zombieland TV series is going to premiere on Amazon Prime.

Zombieland will be the 13th original series to join Amazon Prime.  Six other comedy pilots and six children’s pilots will air on Amazon Prime Instant Video and Lovefilm UK for paying subscribers.  When viewers watch and review each pilot, it will help Amazon decide which of them will score a full season’s worth of episodes.

The pilot is being written and produced by the same team that created the feature film.

?Zombieland is a fan favorite and we can?t wait to see where this story line goes in a serialized format,? stated Roy Price, the Director of Amazon Studios. ?We?ve been announcing a lot of exciting exclusive content for Prime Instant Video, like Downton Abbey, Under the Dome, and Justified, and we think adding original shows to that lineup is going to make Prime even more enticing for customers.?

The pilot stars Kirk Ward (The Island), Maiara Walsh (Desperate Housewives, Switched at Birth), Tyler Ross (Milkshake) and Izabela Vidovic.
