Andreessen Horowitz is looking to raise $1.5 billion in their fourth round of funding, according to Fortune. In 2012, Andreessen Horowitz raised a similar $1.5 billion fund, which had $900 million earmarked for early stage investments and $600 million for a “parallel fund” in larger investments. This time around, it would be $1 billion for the general fund and $500 million in the parallel fund. This fund is oversubscribed and will not likely accept many new limited partners. Some of the companies that Andreessen Horowitz put money into include AirBnb, Box, Lyft, Pinterest, Skype, and Facebook.
