Android 2.2 Performs Superbly On JavaScript Benchmark Test

Posted Jul 7, 2010

Ars Technica did a JavaScript benchmark test on the iOS 4 on the iPhone 4 and Android 2.2 on the Nexus One. Based on the SunSpider and V8 tests, it was revealed that Android 2.2 (Froyo) is three times faster than the previous version of the Android OS. It turns out that the Android device has faster JavaScript execution than the iPhone 4. In the spirit of being competitive, it’d be interesting to see if or how Apple responds to this test.
