Scio Security is a mobile software security company founded by Dug Song and Jon Oberhelde. Currently Scio Security is currently based in the Tech Brewery incubator, which is the same place where popular iPhone application company Mobiata also started from.
Scio Security has raised $1 million in seed funding from several investors, including Palo Alto-based True Ventures. Before starting Scio Security, Song worked at the Barracuda Networks Ann Arbor office last summer. Song is also investing some of his own personal money into the company.
Between 2000 and 2007, Song worked as the Chief Architect at University of Michigan startup company Arbor Networks. Arbor Networks currently employs 90 people and has been acquired by Tektronix Communications.
