AOL HQ Squatter Eric Simons Launches Claco

Posted Sep 27, 2012

Eric Simons
is an entrepreneur that found a way to live in AOL’s Palo Alto headquarters for two months without getting caught.  He used the showers, the gym, couches to sleep on, and locker room there.

During the day time he actively worked on a project called ClassConnect.  Eventually AOL security caught up to him and threw him out.  The idea behind ClassConnect was to allow teachers to create and discover lesson plans and then share them with students and other teachers.

ClassConnect has now been rebranded as Claco.  The five-person company is rolling out of beta and is looking for quality teachers to get the service going.  Claco is still working on closing a round of funding, but has been raising some seed capital.
