Apigee has raised $107 million in total funding thus far.  This round of funding will be used to extend their mobile offerings and to expand globally.

“Mobile changes everything, and every business must have a comprehensive digital strategy that includes reaching customers and expanding through mobile apps,” stated Apigee chief executive officer Chet Kapoor in an interview with IVC Post.

Some of Apigee’s competitors have been acquired lately.  Intel bought Mashery and Layer 7 acquired CA.  Apigee is investing in developing enterprise solutions for API management as well.
