Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has opened up their 10th store in mainland China today. Around 15% of Apple’s revenues last year were from China. The new store opened at the China Central Mall in Beijing?s Chaoyang district.
Apple CEO Tim Cook pledged to eventually hit 22 retail stores in Greater China to meet the demand there. By opening this new store today, Apple now has 13 total stores in China, including 3 in Hong Kong.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) also recently opened an online store on Tmall, an e-commerce website that is run by Alibaba Group. Aside from Apple’s e-store on Tmall, they also have their own Chinese-language website: Apple.com/cn.
