Apple Inc. acquired video discovery company Matcha.tv back in May. The acquisition is believed to be valued at between $1 and $1.5 million, according to VentureBeat.
Matcha.tv shut down back then and many users were wondering what happened. It is unknown what Apple plans on doing with Matcha.tv, but it’s safe to assume that maybe Apple will use it to somehow improve Apple TV or create a new product.
Matcha.tv create an iOS app that offered an overview of everything that is available to watch through cable TV providers, streaming video services, and digital video stores.
