Tomorrow Apple is hosting a conference call to announce their plans for their large cash balance. The company currently is sitting on $98 billion in cash. Financial analysts are speculating that they may announce a dividend for their shareholders.
Apple CEO Tim Cook and CFO Peter Oppenheimer are hosting the call and it will take place at 9AM EST tomorrow. They will only be discussing the cash balance and nothing else. People who are interested in listening in can call (877) 616-0063 (toll-free) or (719) 219-0041. There is also a webcast available at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/call31912.
Personally I doubt that Apple would pay a dividend. I’m guessing that Apple would simply announce a major reinvestment into their own company such as acquiring a data center. I’m speculating that they may even announce the official date for their new Cupertino campus, which would also require a major cash infusion.
