Apple Confirms iMessage Glitch In iOS 7, Fix Coming Soon

Posted Oct 2, 2013

Apple has confirmed that there is an iMessage glitch in iOS 7 that prevents users from being able to send iMessages.  The issue will be fixed in a software update coming soon.  iOS 7 users are not happy with the glitch as many people are venting on Twitter.  Many iMessages get stuck in the “Sending” phase and the message does not get delivered.  Here is a temporary fix:

– Disable iMessage under Settings-> Messages

– Reset the iPhone Network Settings under Settings -> General -> Reset

– Enable iMessage again

“We are aware of an issue that affects a fraction of a percent of our iMessage users, and we will have a fix available in an upcoming software update. In the meantime, we encourage any users having problems to reference our troubleshooting documents or contact AppleCare to help resolve their issue. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes impacted users,” stated an Apple spokesperson.
