Apple Employee iPhones Have Android-Like Gesture-Based Lock Screens

Posted Feb 27, 2011

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is testing out a gesture-based lock screen feature where a user sets up a pattern. The iPhone user would be required to connect the pattern dots with their fingers to unlock the phone. The test name for this Apple project is AppleConnect. This would replace the four number code and Apple has already deployed this lock screen for internal employee use. However we may not see this feature come to consumer iPhones if Google has a patent on the feature. [9to5Mac]
