Apple files $2 billion lawsuit against Samsung

Apple has filed a $2 billion lawsuit against Samsung Electronics in a U.S. court. Last time Apple and Samsung squared off in court was in 2012 when Apple won a $1 billion judgment that Samsung is appealing. The lawsuit in 2012 focused on design patents.

This year, the claims have to do with specific software features in iOS. Many of these features are built into Android rather than just Samsung products.

The five features that are on trial are:
– Addresses, dates, phone numbers, and times appearing as links in tex messages
– Background data syncing
– Universal search
– Slide to unlock and
– Auto-complete texts
