Apple Inc. (AAPL) has expanded worldwide access to iBooks Textbooks and iTunes U Course Manager

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has announced today that iBooks Textbooks and iTunes U Course Manager are expanding into more markets across Asia, Latin America, Europe, and other places around the world. iBooks Textbooks will bring Multi-Touch textbooks with current and interactive content to teachers and students in 51 countries including Brazil, Italy, and Japan. iTunes U Course Manager is now available in 70 countries including Russia, Thailand, and Malaysia.

iBooks Textbooks for iPad has interactive animations and rotating 3D diagrams. There are nearly 25,000 educational titles created by independent publishers and teachers on iBooks. There is also hundreds of thousands of books on the iBooks Store and over 750,000 materials in iTunes U. iTunes U Course Manager allows educators to quickly and easily share knowledge and resources directly with their class or to a global audience on iTunes U.
