Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has hired Jay Blahnik, a former Nike product consultant. Blahnik confirmed the hiring on Twitter. Blahnik has been working with Apple on unspecified products in the past, but now he is working full time at the iPhone maker.
Blahnik has been a Nike Elite Athlete and Nike consultant over the last 20 years. Blahnik oversaw the launch of Nike+Running as well. He created the Nike Training Club App and the Nike Training Club in-gym program, which has around 6 million users. He also worked on a consultant for Nike’s Digital Sport programs like Nike+ FuelBand and Nike+ Kinect Training.
Blahnik will reportedly work on the rumored upcoming Apple “iWatch” product.
