Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has started to roll out iTunes Radio to other countries, starting with Australia. This is the first time that Apple has rolled out the music streaming service beyond the U.S. since launching five months ago.
The next countries that Apple will starting is most likely Canada, the U.K., New Zealand, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. iTunes Radio is an ad supported service that lets iOS, Macs, or PCs create music stations based on artists, genres, and songs.
This service competes against Pandora, Rdio, and Spotify. Over 11 million people have used the service in the first five days of availability. Pandora has around 200 million registered users and 76 million monthly active users.
