Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is set to announce new iPads on October 22nd. What we can expect is the fifth generation iPad and the second generation iPad mini. There are also rumors that a new line of Macs (specifically MacBook Pros) will be announced. The press invite says
“We still have a lot to cover,” and the Apple logo is surrounded by colorful leaves, indicating that the new iPads will likely have colorful options as the iPhone 5c does. It is believed that Apple will announce when OS X Mavericks is going to be released on that date.
The press conference is taking place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco at 10AM Pacific Time. Last month, Apple launched the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.
The word “cover” has to be some kind of hint in the invite too. Perhaps Apple will release a new kind of iPad cover that is similar to the Microsoft TypeCover.
The fifth generation iPad is also expected to have the Touch ID sensor in order to maintain consistency with the tablet’s sister products.
