Apple Rejects An App That Tracks Drone Attacks

Posted Aug 31, 2012

Apple has rejected an app called Drones+.  Drones+ is an app that tracks when the U.S. military executes an attack using a drone.  This information is pulled from a database that is maintained by the U.K. Bureau of Investigative Journalism.  Each strike logged by a pin on a map in the app links to media reports about the strike.  Begley submitted the app twice this summer and it was rejected both times.  The first time Apple said that the app was “not useful or entertaining enough.”  The second time Apple said that the content was “objectionable.”  Now Begley may have to pass on the iOS App Store and move on to Android.
