Posted Nov 26, 2010

Lawyers for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) sent a take-down notice to MicGadget.com for the unauthorized sales of a Steve Jobs action figure. It had violated Apple’s copyrights and trademarks so they sent a cease letter to stop marketing and sales of the figure. Below is an excerpt of the e-mail from Apple:

?Unauthorized use of a person?s name and/or likeness constitutes a violation of California Civil Code Section 3344, which prohibits the use of any person?s name, photograph or likeness in a product without that person?s prior consent??
