Archos announced the GamePad gaming tablet last month at CES.  The new Archos GamePad is expected to arrive this month with a price of $169.  The GamePad has 14 physical buttons, dual-analog thumbsticks, and a button-mapping tool that makes it easier not to rely on the on-screen controls.

The GamePad has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen and a resolution of 1024 x 600. The GamePad has a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, a quad-core Mali-400 MP4 graphics chip, 1GB RAM, a USB port, a miniHDMI port, and 8GB of internal storage.  The GamePad has a built-in microSD card slot that offers up to 32GB of extra storage space.

The GamePad has a front-facing camera, microphone, built-in speaker, G-sensor, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.  The GamePad measures at around 10mm thick and weighs 0.7 pounds.
