Software and consulting company Ariba, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARBA) has announced that they have acquired Quadrem. Quadrem is a private company that sells supply management software.
Ariba will be buying Quadrem for $150 million, including $75 million in cash and $50 million in stock. The deal is expected to close March 31st. The acquisition will expand Ariba’s supply and trading network. Quadrem has 70,000 suppliers in 65 countries. Some of Quadrem’s customers include Alcoa, Nestle, and Rio Tinto.
