Arkami is a company that is known for creating the myIDkey gadget.  Arkami has raised $1.8 million in Series A funding and they have successfully completed a Kickstarter campaign.

myIDkey is the world’s first fingerprint, voice-search secure Bluetooth and USB drive that displays passwords and IDs on the go.  It is compatible with smartphones and PCs.  Arkami spun out of OCTANe Launchpad.  Arkami first presented the myIDkey this past January at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

This funding round includes funding from Gordon Clemons, McNeel Capital, Mark Swanson, and several angel investors.  Arkami will be using the funding to accelerate the development of myIDkey.

Over 5,000 myIDkey devices have been sold in 30 days.

“This funding round is a great vote of confidence in our vision for myIDkey to replace the need for passwords,” stated Arkami CEO Benjamin Chen. “We are very excited to have these strategic professional investors to help guide the growth of the business.”
