Ashton Kutcher is known for starring in several TV shows and movies. In Kutcher’s latest movie jOBS, he plays Steve Jobs, the late co-founder of Apple. Kutcher decided to be a method actor in the role of Jobs, meaning that he tried to follow Jobs’ lifestyle to a tee including dietary preferences. Kutcher when on an all-fruit diet, which ended up putting him in the hospital. At Macworld/iWorld 2013, Kutcher discussed what it was like to play the role of Jobs.
When he was asked what the most important things that viewers should get from the movie, he said that audience members should focus, emphasize compassion for customers, and dream the impossible. Kutcher said that Jobs had the ability to stay no to anything that was not a part of his mission. ?It?s not a detriment to your character if you say no to the things that won?t help other people,? stated Kutcher as quoted by SlashGear.
Kutcher said that caring about consumer experiences is what makes Apple great. When you focus on customers and prioritize them, other things like revenue and profit will come into place. Kutcher said that one of his favorite quotes by Jobs was ?Everything around you that you call life was made up by people who are no smarter than you.?
JOBS will arrive in theaters on April 13 after debuting last weekend at the Sundance Film Festival. The film also stars Josh Gad as Steve Wozniak.
