Posted Jun 3, 2013

At Computex 2013, ASUS has announced several new products including the VivoPC computer and the VivoMouse.  The VivoMouse is a wireless touchpad mouse and the VivoPC is a compact desktop PC that looks similar to a Mac Mini.

The VivoMouse has a desktop input and a wireless handheld remote for casual PC control.  The VivoMouse can be used as a standard optical mouse, but what makes it unique is the circular touchpad with full support for Windows 8 multi-touch gestures.

The wide and flat design makes it possible for the VivoMouse to be used interchangeably as a mouse and desktop touchpad.

Specs of the VivoMouse include a 1200dpi optical sensor, 2.4Ghz RF wireless connection, and 3-point multi-touch touchpad.

The VivoPC is a compact Windows powered media center that is 56mm tall and has a footprint smaller than a sheet of A4 paper.  The VivoPC has a metal finish that looks great in terms of the interior decoration of an office or study room.

The VivoPC and VivoMouse will arrive in Q3 2013.  Pricing is not yet known.

Specs of the VivoPC include an Intel processor, 3.5/2.5-inch SATA 6Gbit/second HHD/SSD support, 802.11ac WiFi, 2x USB 3.0 ports and 4x USB 2.0 ports.
