The ASUS VivoTab RT tablet has been announced today. ASUS hosted a press event today in New York City. The VivoTab RT device can be docked and will be available starting October 26th starting at $599 for the 32GB model with an included keyboard. The 64GB tablet and docking station costs $699. An LTE version f the VivoTab RT tablet is coming to AT&T. The tablet and dock will be sold individually.
The VivoTab RT has a 600-nit Super IPS+ display with 178 viewing angles and Gorilla Glass protection, quad-core Tegra 3 chip, 2GB of RAM, NFC and an 8-megapixel rear camera with an auto-focusing f/2.2 lens.
The keyboard dock has a USB 2.0 port and built-in battery for 7 hours. The VivoTab RT comes with stock applications in the full Windows 8 operating system (Mail, Internet Explorer 10, etc.) and Office 2013 Home & Student.
