AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has hit 10 million customers that are subscribing to the U-verse High Speed Internet service. U-verse is much faster than AT&T’s older DSL networks by using a combination of fiber optic and copper networks. Around 60% of all AT&T wireline broadband subscribers are using U-verse. Comcast has around 21 million broadband subscribers and AT&T has 16.4 million total broadband customers including DSL. This year, AT&T started rolling out U-verse High Speed Internet with up to 45Mbps download speeds in 79 markets, according to GigaOM. AT&T is going to increase these speeds up to 75 and 100Mbps soon.
