At CES, AT&T has launched a connected car center in Atlanta called the AT&T Drive Studio and has also announced a global automotive platform called AT&T Drive. Almost every automobile manufacturer is working towards connected cars using 4G LTE networks. The AT&T Drive Studio is 5,000 square feet and will feature working garage bays, a speech lab, and a showroom that shows the latest innovations.

“We’re making a significant commitment to lead the future of the connected car with the launch of the AT&T Drive Studio and our AT&T Drive platform,” stated Glenn Lurie, president, AT&T Emerging Enterprises and Partnerships, AT&T Mobility. “Our goal is to be the best carrier for connected car innovation in the world.”

The AT&T Drive Studio is located a few blocks away from AT&T’s Foundry innovation center in Atlanta.  The Foundry focuses on new wireless services for the connected home, car, and consumer electronics.
