AT&T and Rogers are bringing LTE roaming to Canada

Posted Dec 9, 2013

AT&T is partnering with Rogers to make it possible for U.S. customers that are in Canada to have access to 4G networks through LTE roaming. AT&T customers that have LTE smartphones will be able to surf the Internet on Rogers LTE without needing additional equipment.

?Our agreement with Rogers affirms our commitment to deliver superior international coverage to our customers,? stated Bill Hague, executive vice president, International, Alliances and Integrations, AT&T Mobility. ?AT&T customers already have access to the nation?s fastest, most reliable 4G LTE network while in the United States and now they can enjoy LTE speeds while roaming in Canada.?

In order to use the service, AT&T has to pick from one of the three “Data Global Add-On” packages. Around 120MB of data costs $30 per month and 300MB costs $60 per month. The 800MB plan costs $120 per month. AT&T’s Data Global Add-on services are available in 150 countries in the world.
