Australian Researchers Implanting Chips To Help Spinal Cord Chronic Pain [VIDEO]

At the Sydney National ICT Australia (NICTA), researchers spent about two years developing “smart chips” which are made into 1.2mm wide polymer yarn and wires which is inserted into the spine. The device sends 10 volt electric pulses to block pain-carrying nerve signals to the brain. This way the brain has no idea that there is chronic pain. Check out the video demo above. [DVICE]
