The Barnes & Noble Nook Color 7-inch Android tablet will cost $250. The tablet has access to full color books, newspapers, apps, and magazines. The new Nook Color has a 1024×600 7-inch full-color LCD touchscreen built by LG. The screen has an accelerometer for portrait and landscape modes.

The Nook Color weighs under a pound and it is under one half inch thick. There is 8GB of internal memory and a microSD slot. The device is currently only available in Wi-Fi, but not in 3G. The Nook Color has an 8 hour battery life.

The device has support for 2 million nookbooks and this is the first device to offer over 100 color newspapers. There is music playback and it will be able to run applications.

One of the most popular applications for this device is Pandora. You will be able to listen to music and read at the same time. This is always a plus.

There is a feature called “Nook Friends,” which will allow readers to share thoughts on books on Facebook and Twitter.

The device is expected to arrive by November 19. If you want an older Nook, you can buy one for about $150. The Nook Color will be available at Walmart, Best Buy, and Books-a-Million.
