Beats Electronics has updated its iOS app to support the iPad. The iOS app always worked on the iPad, but it did not have native support. Users had to find and use the small-screen iPhone version on the larger tablet screens. The iPad version of the app has all the same features as the iPhone version of the app. It has the ability to find artists, albums, tracks, and playlists. Beats users can also change their profile, make a playlist, and download music to the iPad for listening offline. Here is the change log:
– A stylish and sophisticated interface designed specifically for the iPad?s larger screen.
– All your favorite features including Just for You, the Sentence, Find It, My Library and Offline Mode.
– Dedicated support for both landscape and portrait modes.
– In-app subscription and account management via your iTunes account.
The iOS app has gained a “Find Your Friends” feature on all 3 devices (iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch). The app lets you find and follow your Twitter friends in the app so that you can listen together. Beats Music is priced at $9.99 per month, but AT&T customers can sign up for a $14.99 per month family plan, which gives full access for up to 5 users.
Even though Beats Music has a lot of competition like Apple iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, and Rdio, the company distinguishes itself by helping users discover artists and albums. Beats Music asks users what genres they are interested in and recommends music based on those tastes.
