When you think of the number of videos that go viral and make a lot of money, it is not a surprise that a large number of new media ventures are being created to manage talent.  Bedrocket Media Ventures is a media management company that takes advantage of lower costs of production and distribution.  New York based Bedrocket has 30 employees and raised $15 million in funding from New Enterprise Associates.

Bedrocket was created by TV executive Brian Bedol in partnership with Ken Lerer.  Lerer is the general partner of Lerer Ventures and co-founder of The Huffington Post.  Bedol founded Classic Sports Network, which sold to ESPN and became ESPN Classic.  He also started College Sports Television, which was acquired by CBS and it turned into CBS College Sports Network.
