HTC has announce today that they have named Benjamin Ho as their new chief marketing officer. He will be replacing John Wang. Mr. Ho is the former VP of business strategy and marketing of Taiwanese operator company FarEasTone Telecommunications. Mr. Ho will report directly to HTC CEO Peter Chou and will be ?leading HTC into its next phase of brand marketing and awareness.? Mr. Wang will be leaving his position in December.
HTC will also be changing the role of former president of global sales and marketing Jason Mackenzie. Mr. Mackenzie will be giving up his marketing responsibilities to focus on global sales.
Mr. Ho will be setting up a new marketing strategy at HTC called Marketing 2.0. ?We welcome Benjamin to HTC and look forward to integrating the global marketing capabilities he brings to the company,” stated the HTC CEO. ?Our growing brand, centered around our world-class innovation and design capabilities, will provide a global platform not just for HTC, but for Taiwan culture and innovation.?
This past October, HTC announced that their total revenue for Q3 totaled $2.4 billion. This is down from $3 billion in revenue that they posted in the previous quarter.
