Bill Gates Invests $300,000 Into Seawater Research Machines

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has invested $300,000 into research for machines that can suck up seawater and spray it into the air. The water sprayed up in the air would seed clouds that reflects sunlight rays away from Earth. The machines are being developed by Silver Lining, a San Francisco based research group. The water particles could be shot up to 3,000 ft. into the air. The Silver Lining floating machines would have the ability to suck up 10 tons of water per second. Silver Lining plans to test 10 ships spread throughout 3,800 sq. miles of ocean. [UK Times Online via Inhabitat]
