BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) is planning to launch the BlackBerry Z3 in Malaysia on July 7th. The Z3 was created out of a partnership between BlackBerry and Foxconn.
The BlackBerry Z3 first launched in Indonesia. During a recent earnings call, BlackBerry CEO John Chen said that the Z3 would be released in other markets soon. Malaysia is one of the few markets where BlackBerry still has traction.
The Z3 is the only new device that BlackBerry has released this year. BlackBerry’s Classic and Passport devices are not due for at least a few months. In Malaysia, the Z3 will be sold for around $217.
