Search engine blekko, known for its use of slashtags to organize search results, has partnered with recipe network Foodily. Now users who search recipes on blekko will get a collaboration that TechCrunch says will “curate” the blekko search based on Foodily’s extremely detailed recipe organization. This means being able to easily find the recipes you’re looking for with slashtags like /gluten-free or /low-carb.
Foodily is a nutrition-focused social recipe site, which could potentially lead Blekko searchers to eat more healthily. When I tried using blekko to search for recipes I got good suggestions but no links back to Foodily, so it’s currently unclear what benefits Foodily gets out of the deal.
