Brett Ratner, the director of the Rush Hour series of movies, has joined Six Eleven Media to produce a TV series based on Zynga’s online game FarmVille. An animated TV series will be made about the farming simulation social networking game.
?FarmVille is one of the most exciting brands out there today and its cross-platform opportunities are endless. I am thrilled to be expanding the brand with existing fans and also engaging a whole new audience,? said Ratner in a statement.
Currently there isn’t a network that is attached to the proposed series. Ratner will work as an executive producer with Six Eleven Media’s Kirk Schenck and Charles Bishop. Independent producer Nina Gelb is also working on the FarmVille project.
