Candy Crush Developer King Launching Pet Rescue Saga Mobile

Posted Jun 13, 2013

King is the game development company behind Candy Crush.  Now King is launching a new iOS and Android version of the popular Pet Rescue Saga game.  King has a strong user base at 190 million players across 26 billion monthly plays.  Pet Rescue Saga launched on Facebook in October 2012.  Players in the game saves animals from kidnappers by eliminating colored blocks.  Pet Rescue Saga is one of the top Facebook games with 5 million daily active users.

King has been planning to launch a mobile version of Pet Rescue Saga last month as they hit around 70 million daily active players and 21 billion monthly game plays.  King took down Zynga as the top social gaming company in Q1 2013.  Zynga reported around 53 million daily active users then.

King has plans to continue targeting mobile platforms moving forward.  The mobile version of Candy Crush helped improve player engagement and retention on Facebook.  Since that model worked, they are doing the same for Pet Rescue Saga.

You can download Pet Rescue Saga from iTunes and Google Play.
