The new Chevrolet Spark and Sonic vehicles will support Siri as long as you have an iPhone 4S or later device that is running in iOS 6. Siri will connect to the Chevy MyLink entertainment system using Bluetooth. This way you can avoid distractions using the new Apple Eyes Free mode, which lets you disable the smartphone’s screen using a steering wheel button.
You will be able to use voice-activated commands to tell the system to make hands-free calls, play your favorite songs on iTunes, listen to and compose text messages, and access your calendar appointments. If you ask Siri a question that requires you to see a website, Siri will decline to answer to make sure that your eyes stay where they should be.
A new version of the Chevrolet MyLink will let buyers add a “skin” to the instrumental panel with 4 different themes. MyLink will have an optional 8-inch touchscreen, which will let you link up to 10 devices through Bluetooth or USB.
