The Chrysler 300S full-size luxury sedans will soon get the Beats by Dre sound system built in. The Uconnect dashboard 8.4-inch touchscreen system built in the 2014 Chrysler can control the Beats by Dre sound system with buttons and voice commands. The Beats Audio system has 10 speakers and 12-channel amplifier. Uconnect also supports Yelp, Pandora, and several other apps.
The 2014 Chrysler 300S has body-colored door handles and fascia inserts, a glossy black finish, light surrounds, and a new black chrome grille. Buyers can also add a glossy black finish for the roof. There is also a new Ambassador Blue color for the trim. The special blue color is used on the Nappa leather-lined seats on the armrests. A piano black color is used for the dash and gauge cluster.
Beats By Dr. Dre founders Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine worked with Chrysler to design the system for the 300 line of vehicles.
The base 2014 300S comes with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, rated at 300 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque. There is also a standard eight-speed automatic transmission, which directs drive to the rear wheels. There is also a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 that delivers 370 horsepower and includes cylinder-deactivation technology.
The sales of the 2014 Chrysler 300S will start this spring.
