Cleversafe Raises $55 Million

Cleversafe is a startup that has raised $55 million in Series D funding.  The company will be using the funding to invest in their object storage business expansion.  This round of funding was led by New Enterprise Associates with participation from all major existing investors.

Cleversafe’s previous investors in include OCA Ventures and the venture capital arm of Motorola Solutions.  Cleversafe has raised over $100 million in funding thus far.

One of Cleversafe’s largest customers is Shutterfly.  Shutterfly uses Cleversafe to cut their data into smaller pieces that are distributed into separate disks, geographic locations, and storage nodes.
