CloudOn is a mobile application that is used for creating and editing Microsoft Office and Adobe documents in the cloud.  The company has announced that they have launched version 4.0 of their application for Android smartphones.  CloudOn is integrated with services like Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, and SkyDrive to make it possible to edit Microsoft Office documents while on the go.  The app uses the cloud to connect to Microsoft Office software on CloudOn’s servers.

CloudOn was already available on Android tablets, but the updated version of the app makes the service compatible on Android smarphones including the Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy S II Skyrocket, Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note II and the Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE.  More phones should be added in the near future.  Version 4.0 of the CloudOn app also makes landscape mode work when using Android smartphones and tablets.

CloudOn 4.0 comes with a feature called CloudOn FileSpace.  This lets users add notes and view activity on a single file including edits and it shows real-time updates on documents. The CloudOn app has hit around 3.5 million downloads so far.
