Posted Jun 7, 2013

In July 2012, Jerry Seinfeld partnered with Crackle to launch the Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee web series.  The popular web series is about exactly what is in the title.  There are two comedians driving in a classic car to get some coffee and simply chit-chat.  The first season featured cameos from Larry David, Ricky Gervais, and Michael Richards.

Crackle revealed on Thursday that the new season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is starting on June 13th at 12PM EST.  New episodes will be posted every Thursday through July 18th.  Crackle added that 24 episodes are planned to be released this year and next year.  The new episodes will feature appearances from David Letterman, Sarah Silverman, Chris Rock, and Don Rickles.

Crackle told Pulse 2.0 that Acura signed on as the sole sponsor of the show.  Acura will be sponsoring all 24 episodes.  Acura is going to integrate short and contextually relevant ads at the beginning and end of each episode.

Ever since Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee debuted in July 2012, the show has hit over 10 million streams.  Seinfeld received a Webby Award for Outstanding Comedic Performance for the show.
