Cummins Gets Fined $2.1 Million For Not Installing After-Treatment Emissions Systems

Cummins, a Columbus, Indiana based fuel system company has been fined $2.1 million for shipping 570,000 heavy duty diesel engines that lack nitrogen oxide neutralization emissions systems. Cummins did not admit that they were wrong in federal court, but they have agreed to recall 405 engines to install the right system. [Edmunds]
