David DeVore can make thousands of Digg users write the lyrics of a song, piss of Christian Bale, make a cat talk, have Darth Vader re-enact the scene, and even inspire a dance remix. The original video below received between 7 and 8 million video views thus far:
David DeVore is an 8 year old that was still on a post-surgery high. The Soup on E and Best Week Ever on VH1 featured David on TV last week. David is wearing his seat belt in the back seat and asked all sorts of funny questions and makes funny statements:
– Is this real life?
– Ok, now I have two fingers… four fingers
– I can’t see anything
– LOUD SCREAM
– I don’t feel tired
– Do I have stitches? On my teeth?
– Why can’t I touch it?
– You have four eyes
– I feel funny. Why is this happening to me?
– Is this going to be forever?
David’s dad said that his son was safe the whole time and wanted to teach him that the anticipation of the surgery is worse than having it done. The camera was there to help ease the feeling for his son. “I felt bad doing it but I had tears coming out of my eyes after it was over because it was just hilarious,” stated David’s dad. Some of the comments on YouTube were angered by the video as they think it is being exploitative, but I believe that this is the reason for what makes YouTube so great. There is a reason why they called YouTube USER-generated content.
