DB Networks Raises $4.5M From Khosla Ventures For Database Security To Protect Against Malware

DB Networks is a security platform company that has raised $4.5 million in Series B funding from Khosla Ventures.  Shirish Sathaye of DB Networks will be joining the company’s board of directors.

DB has technology that monitors and detects SQL injection attacks and denial of service attacks.  SQL injection attacks exploits a security vulnerability in an application’s software.

DB Networks tracks the attacks by looking for abnormalities in behavior.  The company has an Adaptive Database Firewall product that does not require any database or application expertise.
