Dell Inc. has announced today that they have acquired Gale Technologies. Gale is a Santa Clara, California based infrastructure automation company that helps companies deploy hybrid clouds. The terms of the acquisition are unknown.
Gale started back in 2008 and received funding form Crescendo Ventures.
Dell will keep Gales’ employees and will continue to invest in the company by adding engineering and sales talent.
This is Dell’s 4th acquisition this year. Other companies that Dell has acquired include Quest Software, Wyse Technology, and AppAssure Software.
Dell has also created a new organization within the company called “Enterprise Systems & Solutions.” The Dell Enterprise System & Solutions division will “develop converged and enterprise workload solutions.” The division will focus on optimizing the infrastructure of enterprise applications.
Dell’s Enterprise Systems & Solutions will be led by VP and general manager Dario Zamarian. He previously headed the company’s Networking business as VP and general manager. Mr. Zamarian will report to Dell Enterprise Solutions Group president Marius Haas.
