Dropbox has hired Dennis Woodside as their chief operating officer. Woodside has been an executive at Google and was CEO of Motorola Mobility since it was acquired by Google. Woodside was the successor of Sanjay Jha and started working at Google in 2003 for the EMEA division.
Woodside is leaving Motorola because Google is selling the company to Lenovo for $2.91 billion.
The transitional leadership at Motorola will likely be split between Google Chief Business Officer Nikesh Arora and Jonathan Rosenberg.
?We?ve long admired Dennis’s leadership at Google and Motorola where he ran multi-billion dollar businesses and built amazing organizations around the world. We’re so happy to welcome Dennis to our team — I can’t imagine a better person to help us bring Dropbox to global scale,? stated Dropbox CEO Drew Houston.
