Draper Fisher Jurvetson has raised $325 million for eleventh early stage fund

Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) has announced that they have raised $325 million for their eleventh early-stage fund called DFJ Venture XI. The DFJ Fund X was for $350 million and it closed in 2010.

Tim Draper and John Fisher will remain as part of DFJ?s management committee and are significant personal investors in the fund, but neither one of them will be an investing partner in DFJ Venture XI

Draper is going to focus more on Draper University and several other initiatives. Fisher will be focusing on growth stage investments as partner on the DFJ Growth fund. Steve Jurvetson, Josh Stein, and Bubba Murarka will focus on the DFJ Venture XI fund. DFJ has backed over 22 companies that have hit over $1 billion in value through an IPO or acquisition, which are known internally as the DFJ Ultimate Club.
