According to data compiled by the Audit Bureau of Circulations, digital magazine sales on the Apple iPad have been dropping sharply. Every magazine has reported a decline of sales on the iPad.
For example, Wired magazine released their digital magazine on the iPad back in June and about 100,000 copies were sold. Between July and September, Wired has been selling about 31,000 digital sales. Then in October, 22,000 copies were sold. In November 23,000 copies were sold.
Vanity Fair sold 10,500 copies on average between August and October. Then in November 8,700 copies were sold.
GQ sold 11,000 copies on the iPad in November. This was the lowest number of copies they have sold since April. Between May and October, GQ sold about 13,000 copies.
