Vitals is a review website for doctors that has raised $22 million in Series C funding from Piper Jaffray Merchant Banking, Cardinal Partners, Health Enterprise Partners, Milestone Ventures Partners, and Greycroft. Vitals has raised a total of $45 million in funding.

Vitals sees around 13 million people per month visit their website.  The company plans on using the funding to develop additional tools that helps patients access health care information.

“As more health care decisions are placed in the hands of consumers, we’re seeing increased demand for transparency tools and data throughout the health care space,” stated Vitals CEO Mitch Rothschild. “Our goal is to continue providing consumers with useful tools, critical data and doctor reviews in ways that help them make more informed decisions about their health care.”

Vitals plans to use the funding to expand their consumer footprint to include better data and tools.  Vitals is the consumer brand of MDx Medical Inc.
